Skilled Carpentry Technician
Carpentry technicians are responsible for the completion of assigned work which includes existing stair/rail system repair, production installation, or assisting Renovation’s Team. They must have a firm understanding of stair and rail systems and associated problem-solving skills to make timely repairs that meet the required building code. They work directly with Construction Managers and homeowners and must be able to interact effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.
Compensation: $24.00/hr+

Responsibilities:
- Collect scheduled repairs or installations for the day from assigned box.
- Travel to assigned jobs and perform repair or installation as requested by Customer Service Manager.
- Check-in with Customer Service Manager to ensure adherence to schedule and to report any unforeseen delays with projects
- Keep company vehicle clean and complete daily maintenance logs for on-site repair shop
- Ensure tools are kept in good working order and report any damaged or need for additional tools to Customer Service Manager
- Complete paperwork accurately.
- Deliver material to jobsites, if requested
- Communicate with customer, subcontractors and supervisor to assist in the resolution of quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of woodwork and stair and rail systems.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience with hand tools and proficiency operating battery powered or AC Powered saws and associated woodworking tools.
- Knowledge of finishing wood, to include sanding, staining, clear coating
- Analytical thinking skills to address repair issues
- Current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of building and construction codes in DC, MD, PA, VA & WV.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
- Ability to handle hand tools and perform woodworking tasks.
